TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa man has been sentenced to life behind bars for raping a homeless man along a walking and biking trail.
The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1t3NIGD ) 27-year-old Jeffery Tallon was sentenced to life plus 10 years in prison. A Tulsa County jury last week found Tallon guilty of first-degree rape by instrumentation and aggravated assault.
Police say the 55-year-old victim was attacked in August 2012 along the Katy Trail. He was left unconscious with multiple injuries to his head, broken ribs and internal bleeding.
