SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - A Mesa man is in custody for allegedly leaving his two young children in a car for hours while he was inside a Scottsdale casino with his girlfriend.
Bond was set at $25,000 Thursday after 29-year-old Gregory Thomas Devereaux’s initial court appearance.
He was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of child abuse and child endangerment.
Devereaux doesn’t have an attorney yet.
Court records show a member of Talking Stick Resort’s security patrol found two kids inside a parked car on the second level of a parking garage.
Security determined the children, ages 2 and 3, had been in the car for about two hours.
Tribal police officers say they found Devereux on the main casino floor with his girlfriend.
Arizona Child Protective Services has taken custody of the two children.
