BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A 23-year-old Billings man is charged with breaking into a house owned by his grandmother, changing the locks and living there without permission.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1scBO7O ) Ryan Dennis Guy made an initial appearance in Justice Court Tuesday on a burglary charge. Justice of the Peace Pedro Hernandez set Guy’s bail at $7,500.

Guy was arrested Tuesday morning after his grandmother told police that Guy broke into the residence through a window.

Deputy Yellowstone County Attorney Paul W. Adam told Hernandez that officers had to break down the front door to the house when Guy refused to open it. He says Guy was under the influence of drugs and had several warrants for his arrest.

Guy is scheduled to appear in District Court on Oct. 31 to enter a plea to the burglary charge.
