VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A 17-year-old Vicksburg man will serve 25 years in prison for his role in the 2013 shooting death of a Vicksburg High School student.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1wagZSh ) that Romaire Brown pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Ke’Marvin Stamps.

Brown was one of seven suspects arrested in the case. He is the sixth to plead guilty.



DeMario Mixon, Melvin Wiggins, Tyler Jones, Christopher Jones and Devontae Montgomery are each serving five years in prison for accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.

District Attorney Ricky Smith says the case against Marquis Black is pending.

Authorities say Stamps and another teen were walking on a street shortly before midnight March 15 when shots were fired from a truck. Stamps died from a head wound.
