CLIFFTOP, W.Va. (AP) - The Glade Creek Grist Mill at Babcock State Park is being featured as a stamp from the U.S. Postal Service.

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says the Postal Service recently issued the stamp featuring the Fayette County attraction.

The stamp was designed by art director Derry Noyes and features the work of illustrator Dan Cosgrove.

Officials say the Glade Creek Grist Mill is a 1976 re-creation of an old mill and was constructed of parts from three historic West Virginia mills.

More than 500 West Virginia gristmills were in operation at the turn of the 20th century and were once the center of local farming communities.
