CLOQUET, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have charged a woman in the stabbing death of another woman on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

WDIO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1wtauGT ) 21-year-old Lydia Barney was charged Thursday with second-degree murder of 31-year-old Waubunoquay (wah-boo-NAW’-kay) Dawn Randall in Stoney Brook Township on Sunday.

Police say Barney admits to being at Randall’s residence Sunday but says Randall was fine when she left.

They say they found Barney Tuesday with what appeared to be blood on her clothing. They say she admitted to having Randall’s phone

Police say Barney identified clothing as hers that was found in a nearby fire about two hours after police found the victim’s body.

Randall’s husband was arrested after the killing but was later released from custody and isn’t facing charges.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Barney has an attorney.
