LAS VEGAS (AP) - Caesars Entertainment has unveiled the new look of its LINQ Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Chief Commercial Officer Tariq Shaukat (TAR’-ik SHAW’-kat) said Thursday was the first day hotel guests experienced results of a $223 million remodel that shed trappings of the former Imperial Palace and later The Quad.

Shaukat says the property’s quirky look aims to appeal to younger visitors keen on a social tech-savvy experience.

Nearly 1,000 of the hotel’s 2,253 rooms have been renovated.

The rest - along with a pool, spa and meeting spaces - are set for renovation by next spring.

The name ties the hotel to the adjacent thoroughfare of shops and restaurants leading to the High Roller observation wheel.

LINQ sits between Flamingo and Harrah’s across from Caesars Palace.
