EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - The shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School last Friday cancelled the football team’s playoff game with Oak Harbor, and in a gesture of sportsmanship Oak Harbor forfeited.
The Marysville-Pilchuck team returned the gesture Wednesday, delivering the Wesco 3A North title trophy to Oak Harbor with the message, “Oak Harbor true champs! Thanks for your support, MP football.”
The Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1tGnQ3B ) Tomahawk and Wildcat players hugged, shared pizza and played catch on the field at Oak Harbor together.
