PHOENIX (AP) - Bond is set at $100,000 for a Phoenix man who allegedly held his four children hostage and then set his house on fire.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 44-year-old James Tribble had his initial court appearance Thursday.
He was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of endangerment and arson of an occupied structure.
Tribble doesn’t have a lawyer yet.
Phoenix police say Tribble was on the phone with his wife when the two got into an argument.
He barricaded himself and his kids - ages 5 to 12 - inside the home and threatened to harm himself.
Police say Tribble released three of the children and then the last one before he apparently set fire to his home.
A Phoenix Fire Department crew already on the scene put out the blaze quickly.
