EAGLESWOOD, N.J. (AP) - State police say a teenage boy was seriously injured when his dirt bike collided with a quad at a southern New Jersey mining pit.
The Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1vDliBm) reports the accident occurred late Friday afternoon in Eagleswood Township.
The 16-year-old teen suffered injuries to his neck, ribs, spleen and right hand and was being treated at a hospital. But his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
State police say the teen, the quad driver and others found at the scene in Ocean County were issued summons for criminal trespass.
The teen’s name was not released due to his age.
