SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Bexar County authorities say they’re working to identify human remains found by a group of children playing in the woods.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes tells KENS-TV the kids found the bones Saturday evening while playing near a creek and one of their parents called police. The remains were found about 75 feet behind the family’s home.

The county medical examiner is working to identify the remains and the cause of death. It’s unclear when and how the person died.
