1 dead, 1 hurt after shots fired into apartment

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say one man is dead and another is injured after shots were fired into a Las Vegas apartment with five people inside.

Police say officers were called a little before 8 p.m. Tuesday to the Mirabella Apartments on East Bonanza Road.

Authorities say shots fired into the apartment hit two men and killed one on the scene.

A second man was hit in the leg and was taken to University Medical Center, but is expected to survive.

Clark County coroner’s officials hadn’t confirmed the victim’s identity as of early Wednesday afternoon.
