COTTON PLANT, Miss. (AP) - Sheriff Karl Gaillard says a drug seizure in the Cotton Plant area of Tippah County has yielded approximately 165 marijuana plants, along with other contraband.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/WScJao ) law enforcement officers from Tippah County Sheriff’s Department, Union County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics were on site Tuesday afternoon where the plants were being gathered.

Gaillard says the plants were spotted from a helicopter flying above the three properties from which they were harvested. No arrests have yet been made.
