MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) - Officials say a 72-year-old Loveland man died after his small boat capsized in southwestern Colorado’s Blue Mesa Reservoir.
The Montrose Daily Press reported Wednesday (https://bit.ly/1snbMDv ) the man and a friend were tossed into the choppy water while fishing Thursday. The National Park Service says both men managed to make it to shore, but the 72-year-old immediately collapsed.
Bystanders and rangers performed CPR until emergency crews from Gunnison arrived.
The man’s name has not been released.
