Minot men trying to crowd fund brewery in city

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - Three Minot natives are trying to crowd fund a campaign to bring craft beer to Minot.

The Williston Herald (https://bit.ly/1nJGQbh) reports startup Little Deep Brewing is hoping to raise $35,000 on the crowd funding website IndiGoGo to start a brewery in Minot. Company president and co-founder Jon Lakoduk says breweries in the oil boomtown of Williston and the capital Bismarck could follow after things get rolling in Minot. Lakoduk is joined in the venture by his brother Jordan and co-founder Andrew Walter.

North Dakota leads the nation in per capita beer consumption according to the beer industry trade group The Beer Institute. But the state has the fewest breweries of any state according to the Brewers Association.
