SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Prosecutors are investigating the fatal shooting of an armed man by Ogden police on Tuesday.
The Ogden Police Department says gang detectives on Tuesday evening were trying to find a man they believed was connected to an attempted homicide last week.
Police say officers confronted the man, 38-year-old Christopher James Roskelley, in northeast Ogden.
Police say shots were fired and Roskelley died.
No one else was injured.
The Weber County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the shooting.
Ogden Police did not return messages from The Associated Press seeking further details.
Lt. Danielle Croyle told The Salt Lake Tribune that at least two officers were involved in the shooting and were on administrative leave Wednesday.
She says Roskelley had a gun but wouldn’t say whether he threatened or shot at officers.
