ALBION, N.Y. (AP) - A murder trial is underway for a western New York man charged with killing his live-in girlfriend by stabbing her multiple times and beating her with a sign post.
The Daily News of Batavia reports (https://bit.ly/1qNdDzz ) 62-year-old Frederick Miller’s trial began Wednesday in Orleans County Court.
Prosecutors say Miller used scissors to stab Rachel Miller at least 14 times in March 2013 just moments after she got out of the shower at their home in the town of Carlton, 30 miles west of Rochester.
Officials say she fled the house, but Frederick Miller followed her and hit her with a sign post before returning to the home.
Rachel Miller’s body was found by the driver of a school bus who was picking up students that morning.
Testimony resumes Thursday.
