DOVER, Del. (AP) - State police have arrested a registered sex offender for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.

Detectives say they arrested 22-year-old Tyrone Turcotte of Smyrna on Friday after the victim, a 14-year-old girl, told her mother that the man had touched her inappropriately. Police say Turcotte is a medium-risk sex offender.

Police say Turcotte has been charged with rape and unlawful sexual contact. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $41,000 bond.

It was not immediately clear whether Turcotte has an attorney in this case.
