DOVER, Del. (AP) - A popular music festival in Delaware is hoping to get a boost from a major promoter in the industry.

The founders of Dover’s Firefly Music Festival have teamed up with Goldenvoice, the group that created the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, held in the desert more than two hours east of Los Angeles.

Coachella attracts the biggest names in music every year, including Prince, and draws massive crowds from all over the country.

Firefly drew more 80,000 people at this year’s event, held in June. Headliners included the Foo Fighters, Outkast, Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers.

Goldenvoice announced Wednesday that it is teaming up with Chicago-based Red Frog Events, which puts on the Firefly Music Festival

Goldenvoice will promote and produce next year’s festival.
