ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A 32-year-old man who wanted to get to New York was arrested after he tried to sneak into the wheel well of a plane parked at the Orlando International Airport.
Demetrius Hall was charged Thursday with trespassing, burglary and loitering. He was taken to the Orange County Jail.
Police say officers who responded to the airport found Hall on a tarmac with no shirt or shoes on, and he was covered in grease.
The JetBlue employee who found Hall and called police says Hall told him he just wanted to get to New York.
Investigators determined that Hall had dug under a fence and then crawled underneath it to get into the restricted area.
Police say the arrest didn’t impact any operations at the airport.
