SAMMAMISH, Wash. (AP) - The King County sheriff’s office says the 20-year-old housemate of a man found murdered at a home in Sammamish, Washington, has been arrested in British Columbia.

The sheriff’s office said detectives had probable cause to arrest Kevin D. Patterson for investigation in the case.

A sheriff’s spokeswoman said Wednesday night that a missing 2013 blue BMW has also been recovered.

The victim has not been identified.

Sgt. DB Gates says officers went to the home Wednesday after someone called asking for a welfare check. The caller was concerned about someone in the house needing help. Police forced their way in after no one responded and found a man dead inside.

Sammamish is an affluent city of about 50,000 people located 20 miles east of Seattle.
