Police: Man, 1-year-old son shot in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police say a St. Louis man and his 1-year-old son have been shot and that the child is in critical condition.

St. Louis police say the 23-year-old man and the child were shot in the Walnut Park West neighborhood Wednesday night. The boy was in the arms of his father as they were exiting a car.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (bit.ly/1uLsgpD ) reports that the father also had a gun, which was stolen. He returned fire after he and his son were hit.

Relatives identified the man as Jonathan Jolliff and his son as Jonathan Jollif. A third occupant of the car, the man’s girlfriend, was not injured.

No arrests were reported in the shooting.
