WINNER, S.D. (AP) - The prosecutor in the case of a Pierre teenager accused of killing a classmate continues to call witnesses to the stand.

KCCR-AM reports jurors on Thursday heard from the two police officers who interviewed Braiden McCahren and the sole witness to the shooting after the incident.

The 18-year-old McCahren has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the December 2012 shooting death of 16-year-old Dalton Williams. McCahren was 16 at the time of the shooting at his home but he’s being tried as an adult.

Police officer Martin Waller said McCahren admitted to being the shooter by raising his hand to that question. Waller said McCahren was upset but didn’t cry.

Forensics firearms expert Frans Martiz testified that only four of 250 shells found at the home were the incident happened matched the type that killed Williams.
