BUSTI, N.Y. (AP) - A 2-year-old Amish boy has died in a fire authorities say was started by children playing with matches inside a western New York home.

Officials say firefighters were called around 2 p.m. Thursday to a blaze at a three-story Amish home in the Chautauqua County town of Busti (BUHS’-ty), on the Pennsylvania border 65 miles south of Buffalo.

Intense flames made it difficult for firefighters to search the home. After the fire was extinguished, the body of Eli Shetler was found on the third floor, where the blaze started.

Investigators say the fire was started by children playing with matches.

No criminal charges are expected.
