CODY, Wyo. (AP) - The city of Cody is denying accusations in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed by a man who says he was mistreated during an arrest four years ago.

The lawsuit by Juan Paul Flores contends Cody Assistant Police Chief George Menig used a stun gun on him and assaulted him while he was handcuffed.

In a statement released Wednesday, city officials denied all allegations in the complaint. They say the city looks forward to complete and accurate facts about the incident coming out in the judicial process.

The Cody Enterprise reports the city is declining further comment.

The lawsuit was filed last week in U.S. District Court.
