PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Providence nightclub’s license has been temporarily suspended after two men were stabbed.

WPRI.com reports (https://bit.ly/1v8bTlp ) that at an emergency Board of Licenses meeting Sunday evening, D’Noche Cafe’s license was suspended until Wednesday.

Officers responded to Club D’Noche after two people were stabbed inside the club at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Maj. David Lapatin said police pursued two suspects, arresting 30-year-old Emmanuel Torrez. He’s been charged with assault.

It was not known if he’s represented by a lawyer.

Police are looking for a second suspect believed to have stabbed the two victims, who are 22 and 28.

Lapatin described the injuries as serious but not life-threatening.

Police also investigated reported gunfire outside the club and later discovered two men were shot. It’s not clear if the shootings were connected to the stabbings.
