JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a Canton man for his part in a 2012 store robbery in Madison County.

Lyndon Myers was convicted of three counts of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Myers was sentenced in 2013 to 45 years with 10 years suspended.

Prosecutors say Myers and another man were arrested for the robbery of a Dollar Tree in Madison. Prosecutors say three employees were forced to put the store money into a plastic bag while being held at gunpoint.

In a 5-3 decision Thursday, the Supreme Court denied Myers’ arguments on appeal.
