CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man found lying on a street.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department said in a news release Thursday that 23-year-old Robert Louis Nash IV also faces a first-degree robbery charge. Court records do not list an attorney.

Police say Nash robbed and killed 31-year-old Clifton Diapolis Sparks in early February. Sparks was found lying on the street with a fatal gunshot wound.

Additional information about the investigation was not released.

Nash has been sent to the Linn County Jail.
