LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police say a 22-year-old Traskwood woman was killed when she was struck by an SUV that was being pursued by law enforcement officers.

Police say Heather Cater was leaving work Wednesday evening from a business on South University Avenue when she was hit in a parking lot by the SUV, which was being pursued by Pulaski County authorities.

Little Rock police say Cater was taken to a Little Rock hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police say the driver of the SUV abandoned the vehicle, then took off on foot. Authorities have not yet identified the driver, and no arrests have been made.
