NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - It will now cost Rutgers University football fans to park in New Brunswick.
The City Council has approved charging $20 to park in Buccleuch Park during game days. The fee begins with Saturday’s game against Howard University for those wanting to use the 480 spots available.
Free parking is available for those who want to use the park. Those visitors should enter Buccleuch Park at the Easton Avenue entrance near the Parker House facility. They will be permitted to park along the road closest to Easton Avenue.
The city says charging for the spaces would help to regulate traffic and offset the cost of litter removal and park maintenance.
