WARREN, Pa. (AP) - A 66-year-old northwestern Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he sexually assaulted a female at various times from 1976 until 2003, when he allegedly raped her after being forgiven for past incidents.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for William Gisselbrecht III, of Pleasant Township. He remained in the Warren County Prison on Friday, unable to post $200,000 bond on 41 counts including rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.

State police charge that Gisselbrecht began molesting the victim in 1976 when she was about 7. After years of alleged abuse, the victim was separated from Gisselbrecht until she was 28 years old.

The woman told police that Gisselbrecht eventually apologized in about 1999 for the earlier abuse, only to rape her on a houseboat during a fishing trip in 2003.
