MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say three people, including two pedestrians, were injured after a vehicle veered out of lanes on the Pacific Coast Highway and crashed in Malibu.

KCBS-TV reports (https://cbsloc.al/1ImqS1j) Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded Tuesday night just north of Big Rock Drive.

Officials say the driver of an SUV ran into a fire hydrant, struck two pedestrians and hit a third who was inside a parked vehicle.

One man was airlifted to a local hospital. Two others were transported by ambulance. KCBS says their injuries are non-life threatening.

The PCH was closed in both directions until shortly after midnight, causing traffic backups.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
