MCCLELLANVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two boaters are safe after being rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter about a dozen miles off the South Carolina coast southeast of McClellanville.

The Coast Guard says it was notified about 4 p.m. Tuesday that a 17-foot pleasure craft with a man and woman aboard was in trouble.

The boat was taking on water after its anchor line got tangled in its propeller, pulling one end of the boat under water

A helicopter from the Coast Guard Air Facility on Johns Island was dispatched and brought the boaters back to the Mount Pleasant Airport. They were not hurt. Their names were not released.
