BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) - Police in Bellevue, Washington, say a woman has been found dead in an apartment after fire crews responded to a sprinkler alarm. Detectives are investigating the case as a homicide.

Officer Seth Tyler reports that fire crews responded Tuesday evening to the Avalon Meydenbauer Apartments and found a small fire in a sixth floor unit. They also found a woman’s body, with what Tyler described as “injuries consistent with homicidal violence.” The victim was not immediately identified.

Bellevue Fire Department arson investigators also responded.
