HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police are seeking two suspects who robbed a jewelry store by using hammers to smash a display case and steal wedding rings.

Police on Wednesday released security video of the holdup that happened around midday March 9 at a Zales store in Willowbrook Mall.

Investigators say both men wore bandanas on their faces. One carried a gun and held employees at bay while the other went to a glass display case. The surveillance video shows the second robber using two hammers to pound the top of the display case, about a dozen times, before it gives way.

Both men then stuff jewelry into a bag and run out.

Nobody was hurt.

Police didn’t immediately release a dollar estimate on the stolen items.
