ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The village Native corporation for Hooper Bay has announced plans to open a store in Bethel in the old location of the former Swanson’s store.Bethel radio station KYUK (https://is.gd/RpFISf) reports the Sea Lion Corp. plans to open the store near the riverfront around April 15.
Plans call for subsidiary, UCI, to operate the store.
The Swanson’s location was closed last year when the store relocated to a new $20 million building owned by the Bethel Native Corp.
The new store closed last month less than one year after opening.
