NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - New London police are investigating reports of racist graffiti, harassing phone calls and comments to a custodian at Connecticut College.

The Day of New London reports (https://bit.ly/1G4QxOM ) reports the graffiti was found on bathroom walls in the student center on Sunday.

Police say phone calls were reported on March 25, a day after a custodian reported being the target of derogatory racially-based comments.

Police say they looking for a bald white man in his 50s in connection with that incident.

Connecticut College canceled all classes Monday and held a forum to discuss the graffiti, which was found the same day another forum was being held to discuss a professor’s comments on social media that compared to Palestinians in Gaza to a “rabid pit bull.”
