SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes is scheduled to give a speech at Utah Valley University on Wednesday as part of a conference featuring short TEDx talks.

The university has scheduled a daylong TEDx conference organized by the school but inspired by the nonprofit group TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design.

TED talks and TEDx events feature short speeches from intellectuals, advocates and others that are designed to share ideas.

An announcement from Reyes’ office says the attorney general is giving a speech titled “Love, An Assassin and Magic Eel: Cultural Monuments That Shape My Approach to Leadership.”

The Republican is scheduled to speak between 10 a.m. and noon.

The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $25.
