BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Authorities do not suspect foul play in a fire that caused significant damage to a historic home in Butte.

The fire occurred Friday night and remains under investigation.

But Butte-Silver Bow Fire Chief Jeff Miller tells The Montana Standard (https://bit.ly/1aHnoM5 ) that there’s nothing suspicious or criminal in the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The home is featured on the Butte-Anaconda National Historic Landmark District’s website for its architectural significance. It was built in 1886 and had 13 stained-glass and leaded-glass windows and four fireplaces.

It had been restored in recent years.
