RENOVO, Pa. (AP) - The husband of a missing mother of three has been charged with abuse of a corpse and evidence-tampering following the discovery of a woman’s body over the weekend.

Thirty-four-year-old William Snyder was charged Saturday night in Clinton County hours after the body of an unidentified woman was found. An autopsy was scheduled to identify her and determine a cause of death.

Authorities allege in a criminal complaint that Snyder acknowledged having moved the body of 34-year-old Kelley Jo Snyder from their Renovo home to the Halls Run area and also having fabricated an email and a note seeking $60,000 ransom for his wife’s safe return.

Court documents indicated that Snyder requested representation by the county public defender’s office, which didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment Sunday.
