Anchorage police investigate death of 14-year-old girl

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a teenage girl whose body was found outside an Anchorage church.

Anchorage television station KTUU (https://is.gd/A23q0o) reports police responded to the Muldoon Road Baptist Church Sunday afternoon in connection with the 14-year-old girl’s death.

Police on Monday identified the girl as Megan Sophie Johnson of Anchorage. Police say the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the girl was with her 15-year-old boyfriend and a 45-year-old man Saturday evening. Police say the boyfriend and the man woke up to find the girl unresponsive.

Police say the boyfriend and the man were taken to police headquarters to be questioned. No charges were immediately filed.

Police say an autopsy will be conducted by the state medical examiner’s office.
