RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 30-year-old Carson City man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on child pornography charges after an FBI sting caught him with more than 6,000 pornographic images and videos on his cellphones.

Andrew Wayne Hamrick has been in jail since he was arrested last April. He pleaded guilty in July to one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of receipt of child porn. He was sentenced last week.

Federal prosecutors say the images depicted child rape, bestiality, sadistic or masochistic conduct, and bondage-related activities with young boys and girls.

U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden says an investigation began in October 2013 after Hamrick engaged in a series of email and text message conversations with an FBI agent posing undercover as an adult female interested in incest.
