LITTLE EGG HARBOR, N.J. (AP) - Police say a Jackson man was drunk when he ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle, injuring his two young daughters.

The crash occurred Saturday night in Little Egg Harbor.

Police spokesman Christopher Arciniegas tells the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1FBRYiv ) 30-year-old Ishmael Matos was charged with assault by auto, child endangerment, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and several other motor vehicle infractions.

His 2-year-old daughter was flown to a hospital by helicopter, while his 4-year-old daughter was taken by ambulance. Arciniegas says both girls are in stable condition.
