NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is developing a plan to install traffic cameras, message board and road-condition sensors on Everett Turnpike to help commuters.

The Telegraph of Nashua reports (https://bit.ly/1z9MXLO) the improvements will help the state’s third-busiest stretch of road catch up with interstates 93 and 95 and the Spaulding Turnpike, where the systems were installed in recent years.

Denise Markow, administrator for the state’s Transportation Systems Management and Operations, says a new software system is being worked on with the goal of January launch. She said that would allow subscribers to choose the route they travel and get alerts about conditions.
