SUTTON, W.Va. (AP) - Sutton Lake is looking for volunteers to participate in an annual cleanup.

The “Rake the Lake” event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 25.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says volunteers will help remove trash and debris around the lake. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants.

Work gloves and garbage bags will be provided. The corps says volunteers should bring work boots or shoes.

Volunteers can pre-register by calling 304-765-2816 or by sending an email to SuttonLake@usace.army.mil. Volunteers also can register on the day of the cleanup at the launch ramp in the Bee Run Day Use Area, or in the Gerald Freeman or Bakers Run campgrounds.
