TEANECK, N.J. (AP) - Officials have not determined who apparently dumped gasoline down a drain in their home in the northwest section of Teaneck.

Firefighters had to flush the sewer lines on Sunday.

Fire Chief Joe Berchtold tells The Record (https://bit.ly/1CAmOXP ) newspaper residents near Jefferson and Downing streets and Warwick Avenue reported a strong odor of gasoline. One home was evacuated.

Berchtold says the gasoline was headed for a sewage treatment plant in Little Ferry.
