NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Police in North Las Vegas say they’re looking for a vehicle and a shooter after two men were shot within minutes of each other and about a block apart during the weekend.

Officer Aaron Patty said Monday an assailant may have been in a vehicle during the shootings a little after 3 p.m. Saturday in a neighborhood northwest of Carey Avenue and Civic Center Drive.

The Clark County coroner says 36-year-old Tyrone Ford of Las Vegas died on Cartier Avenue of multiple gunshot wounds.

Patty says a 42-year-old North Las Vegas man who was shot on Stone River Drive remains hospitalized at University Medical Center. His name hasn’t been made public.

Patty says investigators believe the two victims knew each other, and the shootings weren’t a random act
