WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) - A weekend grass fire in Wahpeton destroyed two sheds and their contents.
KFGO radio reports (https://bit.ly/1z6W53G ) that barrels of oil inside the sheds created thick plumes of smoke Saturday afternoon, and some nearby businesses and mobile homes were evacuated for a time.
A half-mile stretch of state Highway 127 also was shut down for about an hour.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for much of North Dakota, indicating conditions are ripe for wildfires and people should take precautions.
