ONEIDA, Tenn. (AP) - Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is offering a free hike this weekend, giving visitors a chance to learn more about wildflowers and forest ecology.

The ranger-led hike to Yahoo Falls will last two to three hours. Hikers will also be able to see geological formations along the trail.

Big South Fork says the trail is considered moderate and contains some stairs. Hikers are advised to wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable hiking footwear.

The hike will start at 9 a.m. EDT Saturday at the Yahoo Falls parking area in Kentucky, which can be accessed from Kentucky Highway 700.
