ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Rochester say a woman and two young children escaped serious injury when they were hit by a vehicle that veered into them after someone shot at it.
Officers say the vehicle was traveling on Herald Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday when someone opened fire on it, causing the driver to veer off the street. The vehicle hit a 29-year-old woman and two children, ages 4 and 7.
Police say the woman and the 7-year-old boy suffered minor injuries. The 4-year-old child wasn’t hurt. All three were taken to Rochester General Hospital.
